Bobby Sachdeva is an experienced commercial litigator with significant trial and arbitration experience. His primary focus is on complex commercial disputes and insolvency and restructuring. He brings a strategic yet practical business approach to litigation that is results-oriented. He has acted as lead counsel on a number of trials, arbitrations, and appeals. In the commercial litigation space, he has experience in shareholders disputes injunctions, creditor remedies, complex contractual disputes, directors' and officers' liability, fraud recovery, professional negligence, and defamation. On the insolvency and restructuring front, he acts for trustees, receivers, monitors, secured creditors, equipment lessors, and landlords in proceedings under the BIA and CCAA. He also represents debtors in restructuring proposals under the BIA. His clients range from financial institutions and public companies to entrepreneurs and mid- to large-sized private companies. He has held previous leadership positions, including managing partner, executive committee member and practice group leader at a regional Ontario law firm. He is currently co-leader of the commercial litigation group at Miller Thomson. His extensive experience and business acumen make him a trusted advisor.
