Recent transactions include representing Oxford Properties Group and CPP Investments’ $1.2 billion joint sale of Royal Bank Plaza to a Spanish investment firm controlled by Amancio Ortega; Dream Unlimited and Great Gulf on Waterfront Toronto’s development on Quayside lands; Context Developments and CMHC in the redevelopment of “Don Sommerville” property; InnVest Hotels’ acquisition of several marquee hotel properties, including, the St. Regis Toronto, the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel and the Marriott Ottawa Hotel; Leadon Investments’ $1.1 billion acquisition of SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio from a Canadian pension fund manager; and Allied Properties REIT and Diamondcorp’s sale of the residential component of the Well to Tridel and Woodbourne. On June 27, 2017, Leadon Investment Inc., as Borrowers’ Representative, and certain of its affiliates, as Borrowers, completed the financing of 22 hotel properties across Canada, for a total amount of approximately $716 million, comprised of a $649-million term credit and a $67-million renovation credit with Aareal Bank AG, as Administrative Agent thereto.
