Brian J.E. Brock , KC

Brian J.E. Brock, KC, is certified as a Specialist in Civil Litigation (LSO), was a Professor (Adjunct) at York University for 12 years, and is a Fellow of the ACTL. He has taught trial practice at the Bar Admission Course and Medicine and the Law (Osgoode Hall). He was an original and long-time member of the Senior Regional Judges Bench & Bar Committee, past director of The Advocates’ Society, and Past President of County of York Law Association and Medico-Legal Society of Toronto. He is noted by Lexpert and The Best Lawyers in Canada as a leading practitioner in Commercial Insurance, Professional Liability, Products Liability, and Personal Injury. He is listed in The Legal Media Group Guide to the World’s Leading Insurance and Reinsurance Lawyers and the Guide to the World’s Leading Product Liability Lawyers. He was the first recipient of the Medico-Legal Society’s Award for Distinguished Service. Admitted to the Bar after receiving his BA from the University of Western Ontario and his LLB from Osgoode Hall. He was appointed as KC in 1981. He is a founder and senior partner at Dutton Brock LLP, one of Canada’s Leading Insurance Law Firms. He has argued at the Supreme Court of Canada on products liability, complex insurance issues, property damage, and conflict of law cases.
