Brigitte M. Gauthier is a partner in the Financing and Financial Services Group. She advises Canadian and foreign financial institutions as well as borrowers in various industries on all aspects of debt financing, including syndicated and bilateral loans, mezzanine loans and cross-border transactions. Ms. Gauthier has extensive experience in real estate financing, corporate and acquisition financing, project financing, securitization and banking. She manages complex transactions, including the financing of intricate real estate structures (e.g., thermal piping networks, co-generation power plants and sports infrastructure), as well as the financing of elaborate corporate structures (e.g., investments funds). She also has considerable experience in the area of consumer law, in particular federal and provincial consumer protection and cost of borrowing legislation. She regularly acts for various purchasers as well as originators in securitization transactions.
