Catherine is a partner in the construction group at Pallett Valo LLP in Mississauga. Certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a specialist in construction law, she has practised law for nearly 20 years, primarily dealing with construction, engineering and municipal claims, and general commercial litigation. Her practice encompasses different sectors of the construction industry. She represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, as well as design and engineering professionals, both on the claims side and in the defence of claims. Catherine has defended clients in matters involving allegations of negligent design, supervision, and inspection. She is recognized by The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, has been selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in Canada for construction law and is a fellow of the Construction Lawyers’ Society of America. In addition, she is past chairwoman of the Ontario Bar Association Construction and Infrastructure Law Section and a regional director (Ontario) of the Society of Construction Law. Previously, Catherine served as a member of the executive committee and board of directors of the Canadian Construction Association and a member-at-large of the Construction Section of The Advocates’ Society.
