Clément Gascon

Clément Gascon, AdE joined Woods as senior counsel in the spring of 2020. After a career of more than 17 years in the Canadian judiciary, he returned to the private practice of law, which he had left in 2002. He uses his in-depth expertise and experience to guide and assist parties and their counsel in resolving disputes through arbitration at the national and international levels and acts as strategic advisor in the insolvency, restructuring, and litigation matters of the firm. He was a judge of the Supreme Court of Canada for five years, of the Quebec Court of Appeal for two years, and of the Quebec Superior Court for close to 10 years. He was a lawyer in private practice with a national law firm from his admission to the Quebec bar in 1982 to his appointment to the bench in 2002.
