Craig Mills’ practice focuses on commercial litigation and insolvency and restructuring law. He endeavours to bring a practical and strategic approach in advising his clients. On the litigation side, he has experience that includes creditor remedies, enforcement of security, contractual disputes, franchise disputes, and mortgage enforcement. He has worked with businesses ranging from lenders, creditors, owner-operators, not-for-profit corporations, insurers, franchisors, and commercial landlords. He also frequently acts in disputes proceeding through private mediation. In his insolvency practice, he has acted for court-appointed receivers and monitors, licensed insolvency trustees, equipment lenders, and secured creditors. He has advised debtors in out-of-court arrangements and in restructuring and insolvency proceedings under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act. In that regard, he has appeared as counsel before the Commercial List, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario appellate courts, and Bankruptcy Court. He is also a regular speaker at the Ontario Bar Association and the Law Society of Ontario.
