Danielle Butler

Danielle's practice focuses primarily on structured finance transactions, asset-based financings and debt financings. She advises sellers and purchasers on public and private securitization transactions involving various asset classes, including auto loans and leases, residential and commercial mortgage loans, commercial loans, consumer finance receivables, credit cards and trade receivables, and on whole-business securitizations. She also has experience representing lenders and borrowers in both secured and unsecured financing transactions (bilateral and syndicated loan structures). She regularly acts on cross-border financings, including cross-border securitizations, factoring arrangements and cross-border lending. She has advised purchasers, lenders, sellers, servicers and borrowers in Canada, the United States and Europe on the Canadian aspects of such cross-border transactions.
