David is a senior litigation partner in the McKercher LLP Regina office where his practice focuses on defence of health care professionals, insurance law, and defence of professional liability matters. He has experience before all levels of court and various tribunals in Saskatchewan, including the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. He is a former President of the Canadian Bar Association, Saskatchewan Branch and former President of Pro Bono Law Saskatchewan. He has been listed as a Leading Practitioner in The Canadian Legal LexpertDirectory and has been recognized by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in Canada 2024 in the area of Insurance Law in Regina. He was called to the Bar in 1987 and appointed KC in 2011.
