Debi Sutin is a partner in Gowling WLG ‘s Hamilton office, a member of the firm’s Business Law Group and chair of Gowling WLG’s national Franchise and Distribution Law Group. Debi has more than 30 years of experience advising Canadian and international franchisors on all matters relating to Canadian franchise law and the establishment and ongoing operation of franchise systems throughout Canada. She is passionate about educating her clients on the range of matters they will encounter as they expand their franchise systems across the country, including franchise compliance, best practices for franchise relations, managing cross-border transactions and timely dispute resolution. Debi is a long-serving member of the Ontario Bar Association Franchise Law Section, is involved with franchise organizations in Canada and the US and is a sought-after speaker at industry events.
