Diane Bell, KC is an experienced commercial and family law mediator. Since 1993, she has helped clients overcome legal challenges in a fair and efficient manner through the ADR process. As an evaluative mediator, Diane engages in an active risk analysis to help the clients reach resolution without the risks and costs associated with litigation. In addition to her mediation practice, Diane continues to provide family law services focusing on the non-litigious resolution of highly complex family law cases along with the preparation of and independent legal advice related to co-habitation and pre and post-nuptial agreements. Having practised law for over 30 years, Diane has garnered a broad skillset, which includes a solid understanding of tax issues, complex business structures, trust law, estates and pensions. As an honouree of the King’s Counsel, Diane has been recognized as a successful mediator and family law lawyer with practical business sense and a goals-oriented approach to resolving complex issues. Since 2011, she has been named one of the Best Lawyers in Canada in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Family Law and Family Law Mediation and for the last three years in Trusts and Estates. She was also named “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers for Family Law Mediation in 2023.
