Domenic Crolla is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office. His practice focuses on professional and product liability, health law, and medical liability matters. He counsels clients in both litigious and non-litigious settings, including on complex governance issues. The application of advanced technologies to professional practice, including to healthcare and law practice, is of special interest. He has appeared before all levels of courts and administrative tribunals in both a trial and appellate capacity. He is a frequent author and lecturer, the editor of Electronic Healthcare Law Review (LexisNexis), taught in Osgoode’s LLM in health law program, and was regional director of that school’s LLM in e-business. He was chairman of the law and medicine committee, IBA, a past director of The Advocates' Society and Bar-Ex Communications, and is honorary counsel to REACH, a charitable organization for persons with disabilities. He is recognized by Chambers Canada, Benchmark Canada, The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory, and The Best Lawyers™ in Canada. In 2021, he received the OBA’s Susan Hillary Davidson Award for Excellence in Health Law and the Medical Professional Liability Association’s Defender Award. Until 2022, he was lead trustee of the firm’s board of trustees.
