Duncan Snyder

Duncan Snyder is a partner in the corporate group at Gowling WLG. He is based in the Waterloo Region office. He is responsive and provides practical advice. While a strong advocate for his clients’ interests, Duncan always seeks solutions. Duncan is highly experienced in mergers and acquisitions. He has acted on transactions across a range of industries – including software, technology, manufacturing, construction and aggregates, professional services, and consumer products. He regularly works with lawyers and clients in other jurisdictions, primarily on U.S. cross-border transactions. He regularly structures transactions to meet the needs of clients - including through the use of amalgamations, equity rollovers, management buyouts, joint ventures, exchangeable shares, and representation and warranty insurance. Duncan is also highly experienced advising entrepreneurs, start-ups, and high-growth companies. He provides advice on shareholder agreements, commercial agreements, equity and debt financings, stock options and incentive plans, strategic arrangements, and other corporate, governance and business matters. Duncan completed his law degree at the University of Toronto and has an undergraduate degree in economics from Wilfrid Laurier University.
