Elisabeth helps public and private-sector organizations to understand the legal issues that they face relating to technology and address them in creative and practical ways that help them to meet their objectives. She assists clients with a wide variety of technology agreements; procurement of technology; issues relating to distressed technology projects; and internet issues. Elisabeth is the chair of the Interactive Entertainment and Media Section of the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw), a former vice-president of the Canadian Technology Law Association (CAN-TECH Law), and a Past Chair of the Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law Section of the Ontario Bar Association. She is the co-editor of Mann's Technology News (Carswell) and the co-author of chapters in Electronic Commerce – A Practitioner’s Guide (Carswell) and Business Laws of Canada (West). She has been noted in the field of information technology law by the Chambers Global Guide, Lexpert and Best Lawyers, and she was noted by Best Lawyers in Canada as the Lawyer of the Year for Information Technology in Toronto, in 2022. Prior to joining DWW, she was a partner at a large Canadian firm, a founding partner of a boutique firm and an in-house counsel.
