Éric Mongeau is a partner and head of the Montreal office's litigation and dispute resolution group. Recognized as the Quebec Litigator of the Year in 2020 by Benchmark Litigation, he regularly appears in front of civil courts under provincial and federal jurisdictions, including the Supreme Court of Canada. He also has vast experience in front of administrative and arbitration tribunals. He is highly esteemed for his general commercial litigation practice which focuses more particularly in the energy, transportation, telecommunications, and construction sectors and in the fields of administrative law and defamation law. Over the years, he has also developed particular expertise in local and international commercial arbitration, both as counsel and party-appointed arbitrator. In 2018, he was inducted as a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the leading trial lawyers’ organization in the US and Canada, for his unquestionable position as a preeminent litigator in Quebec.
