Eric Presseau is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the Real Estate Group. His work includes advising on commercial leasing, real estate transactions, and secured lending. His commercial leasing experience includes industrial, office, green leases, pre-construction, and retail premises. Eric also advises on commercial lease disputes and landlord enforcement of tenant defaults, real estate brokerage matters, commercial property management, and residential tenancies. He has also closed hundreds of acquisition and disposition transactions in many property classes including multi-tenanted office, retail and industrial complexes; owner-occupied industrial facilities; development lands and plan-approved development take-overs; office to residential conversions; joint venture acquisitions; pits/quarries; and complex sale leaseback transactions. Eric acts for lenders and borrowers on transactional and leasing matters, including secured financing of leasehold interests, acquisition and VTBs, development/servicing projects, and construction. His experience also includes portfolio advisory with respect to leasing, asset and property management, financing, restructuring, and acquisition/disposition work for portfolio owners and managers.
