François's practice focuses on all areas of corporate income tax law, including mergers & acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, financing and restructuring. He has significant experience with tax aspects of domestic and cross-border investment structures, notably with respect to private equity and venture capital investments. He also represents clients in tax disputes with Canadian tax authorities. In addition, François has extensive experience in estate planning. He is fluent in English and French. François is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants, the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec, the Canadian Tax Foundation, the International Fiscal Association, the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF) and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). François is the author of numerous tax publications and is a regular speaker at conferences on tax matters. He is also a Chartered Accountant.
On June 5, 2018, Transurban (ASX: TCL) acquired 100% of the equity interests in the A25 toll road asset and concession in Montréal, from Macquarie Infrastructure Partners. Transurban has assumed responsibility for the management and operations of the A25.
