Fredrick Schumann focuses on white collar criminal defence and related areas, corporate/commercial, and public law litigation. He has been counsel on over 60 reported decisions in Ontario and in the federal courts. Whether defending a person or business charged with an offence, navigating a complex commercial dispute, or dealing with a high-profile and sensitive public law issue, he applies legal skill and practical ingenuity to get his clients the best possible results. He is a frequent speaker and instructor, through the Advocates’ Society, Osgoode Professional Development, and Ontario Bar Association. He has a particular interest and experience on the law of evidence and trial advocacy skills, having conducted both civil and criminal trials and appeals. He has been a member of the teaching faculty at the Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop since 2019.
