Haddon Murray is a partner in the Toronto office of Gowling WLG, practising in the areas of commercial litigation and restructuring and insolvency law. Haddon's commercial litigation practice focuses on complex commercial disputes involving contract disputes, P3 arbitrations, oppression claims, professional negligence, and class proceedings. He works with clients across a diverse range of industries, including financial services, logistics, and infrastructure. Haddon has represented clients at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada and appears regularly before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice – Commercial List and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Haddon also has substantial experience representing clients through a variety of alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including private arbitration and mediation proceedings. Haddon regularly represents banks, credit unions, court officers, debtor corporations, and directors in contested aspects of creditor enforcement and restructuring proceedings, including: CCAA applications; claims processes; cross-border insolvency proceedings; DIP loan approval motions; priority disputes and receivership applications. He also advises stakeholders of all kinds in connection with formal and informal insolvency proceedings.
