Tim Pinos is a partner in the firm’s Advocacy Group, offering substantial expertise in complex commercial litigation and class action issues, including in the areas of insolvency and intellectual property litigation. Tim led the successful defence of the first class action commenced in Ontario, and in doing so established two important precedents. He continues to be active in the defence of class actions and in large-scale multi-party litigation. No issue is too complex for Tim, whose strong academic background includes numerous publications and stints teaching full and part time in Ontario, Australia and Malaysia. He is recognized as a leader in his field by Best Lawyers, The Legal 500 Canada, and Benchmark Litigation. He is admitted in Ontario and British Columbia and has litigated before trial and appellate courts across the country, including before the Supreme Court of Canada.
