Patrick is an owner and partner of McLeish Orlando Lawyers LLP. For over 20 years, he has been fighting for victims who have suffered serious injury or been wrongfully killed. He is certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a Specialist in Civil Litigation, listed in The Best Lawyers in Canada, in Lexpert as Most Frequently Recommended, and granted the AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He is former President of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. Judges’ commentary has included “counsel presented case in a focused, well-organized fashion. Trial preparation resulted in well prepared and focused witnesses … demonstrative evidence assisted the jury in understanding the medical and liability issues (Justice MacKinnon).” In a multimillion-dollar trial award, Justice O’Brien noted, “I have not seen a case better prepared or presented than this one.” Patrick initiated the Ontario Coroner's Review of Pedestrian & Cycling Deaths and received the Active Transportation Champion of the Year award by TCAT. He received the Safety Award of Excellence from the Ontario Safety League and the 2018 Professional Award from Ontario Brain Injury Association. He is former Director of Cycle Toronto, founder of Bike Law Canada, and committee member of Friends & Families for Safe Streets.
