Jacob Stone is a partner in McCarthy Tétrault LLP’s Business Law Group in the Quebec Region. His practice focuses on project finance, M&A, private placements, and venture capital. Jacob acts for developers, lenders, borrowers, bondholders and investors for the development and financing of infrastructure and renewable energy projects across Canada, as well as on construction, operation, and supply matters for major renewable energy projects. Jacob was involved in a number of significant mandates, such as representing Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec (FCDQ) in its $350 million financing of Alliance de l'Énergie de l'Est in its efforts to build and operate wind farms in Quebec and representing Aligned Data Centers in connection with its strategic investment in QScale. He is the co-editor of McCarthy Tétrault LLP’s annual publication Power Perspectives and frequently contributes to the firm’s Canadian Energy Perspectives blog. He is called to the Bars in both Ontario and Quebec.
