Jacquelyn Stevens, BSc (Hons), MSc, MSEL, LLB, is a Law Society of Ontario certified specialist in environmental law. She represents a wide range of clients in environmental civil litigation, in the defence of prosecutions by environmental regulators, and at administrative appeals and hearings. She provides effective advice and solutions for environmental due diligence and compliance, brownfields/contaminated site remediation, and environmental approvals for air, odour, noise, and waste. She appears before the courts and administrative tribunals, including the Ontario Court of Appeal. She advises on cross-boundary migration of contamination and remediation options during civil litigation and has expertise litigating contamination issues at dry cleaning operations and gas stations. She defends clients against quasi-criminal environmental prosecutions by regulatory authorities. She is former president of the Women’s Law Association of Ontario (WLAO). She is selected annually for The Best Lawyers in Canada for environmental law and in the Lexpert Special Edition on energy. She is ranked as a national leader in Who's Who Legal Canada: Environment.
