Jade’s cybersecurity practice begins before the incident, helping organizations with incident preparedness, risk management and the acquisition of cybersecurity software and services. He has worked on some of the largest cybersecurity incidents in Canadian history and dozens of other incidents, including data breaches and ransomware attacks. On privacy compliance, Jade has particular experience in the retail and technology sectors, helping clients balance compliance, risk, innovation and competitiveness. Jade has a strong interest in leading the rapid development of privacy and cybersecurity law. Jade has spoken on technology, privacy and cybersecurity at dozens of events and guest lectured at the University of Victoria and for Osgoode Hall Law School’s Certificate in Privacy and Cybersecurity Law. He is a board member of the Canadian Technology Law Association (CAN-TECH) and a Member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
