Jan Marin was called to the Ontario bar in 2010. Her practice focuses on professional negligence matters with a particular interest in medical malpractice. Jan has appeared before all levels of court including the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in Canada for her work in Personal Injury Litigation. Jan is a Director of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA). She is involved in their Interventions Committee, Litigator Editorial Board, and the Practice Direction Committee. Jan has been consulted by Canadian Lawyer Magazine, Law Times News and other publications on her expertise in medical negligence. Jan also volunteers her time with Pro-Bono Ontario. She spends a full day each quarter on the "Hotline" answering legal questions presented by low-income Ontarians. She also volunteers as a team coach for the Ontario Justice Education Network, bringing mooting into high schools across the province. Jan is Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Premature Babies Foundation and a Member of BILA, bringing her legal expertise to an organization dedicated to helping parents, clinicians and educators who work with premature infants. Jan is a passionate and dedicated advocate for her clients and their families.
