Jason is a partner and the national leader of BLG’s Intellectual Property Group. He is the regional leader of the Firm’s Information Technology (IT) Group and co-chair of its Innovation Thought Leadership Committee. He is a lawyer, patent agent, Certified Licensing Professional (CLP), and trademark agent. Jason's legal practice focuses on technology law, particularly advising clients on large-scale and mission-critical IT transactions, health informatics, and emerging technology issues in a wide variety of sectors. His patent practice focuses on IT technologies and computer-related technologies, as well as software technology and business methods. Jason is recognized in The Legal 500 Canada and The Best Lawyers in Canada. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in corporate finance in 1996 from the University of Regina and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 1999 from the University of Alberta.
