Jennifer Corak is a partner in the wills, trusts, and estates practice group at WeirFoulds LLP who advises Canadian and international clients on a variety of estate and trust matters. As part of her practice, she helps her clients navigate the estate planning process, including working with them to prepare wills, continuing powers of attorney for property, powers of attorney for personal care, and trusts, and to engage in probate planning. She assists a wide range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners, and other professionals, and has experience in succession planning for closely held businesses and planning for individuals in complex family arrangements. She also advises trustees and beneficiaries with respect to the administration of estates and trusts and attorneys acting under a power of attorney, and she provides support to litigators in contentious estate matters. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), holding the trust and estate practitioner designation. She enjoys writing and speaking on estates and trust matters, is co-editor-in-chief of Federated Press’ Personal Tax and Estate Planning journal, and newsletter editor for the Ontario Bar Association’s trusts and estates law section.
