Jennifer L. King is a partner at Gowling WLG, national co-lead of the firm's Administrative Law Practice Group, co-lead of the firm's ESGI (Environmental, Social, Governance and Indigenous) Advisory Services Practice and a member of the firm’s Climate Change and Environmental Group. An experienced litigator, Jennifer’s practice engages issues involving the environment and climate change, land use planning and municipal law, constitutional law and contractual disputes, public health and Indigenous rights. She appears before all levels of court including the SCC and various tribunals, acting on judicial reviews, statutory appeal proceedings and public inquiries. Clients recognize her as an effective strategic advisor who guides them when engaging complex regulatory regimes including: environmental and impact assessments; conservation; contamination and toxic substances; transportation; climate change and supply chains; public health and emergencies; land use; energy; resource extraction and transportation. She also supports clients in negotiating land and impact benefit agreements for Indigenous organizations.
