Jennifer L. King is co-lead of Gowling WLG’s national Administrative & Public Law group and a past leader of the firm's ESG advisory services practice. An experienced litigator known for dealing with high-profile matters, Jennifer represents clients in civil and regulatory proceedings involving complex environmental, land use, municipal, corporate, professional liability, public health, Indigenous, administrative and public law issues. She appears before all levels of court and tribunals including the Ontario Land Tribunal and the Nunavut Impact Review Board and has acted as counsel for and before public inquiries. An effective strategic advisor, Jennifer helps clients navigate regulatory regimes related to impact assessment, ESG & climate change, supply chains, greenwashing, public health, emergency management, tourism, land use planning, and resource extraction. She also supports clients in negotiating land and impact benefit agreements. Her clients include public and private companies, municipalities, Indigenous organizations, and public agencies. Jennifer is a member of the bar in Ontario and Nunavut. An adjunct professor of Administrative Law at Osgoode HallLaw School, Canadian Lawyer named her one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada in 2023.
