Jennifer Wilkie is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation & Strategy, Patents, and Life Sciences Groups. Jennifer is a lawyer with over 20 years of experience in the IP field. She has also been a Registered Patent Agent for over 20 years. Jennifer’s practice focuses primarily on patent litigation and patent prosecution, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical and chemical patents. She regularly acts for clients in patent infringement and patent impeachment matters, as well as applications under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations. She has appeared in the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, as well as the Ontario Courts. Her practice also involves providing strategic advice on patent portfolio management and enforcement. In the pharmaceutical context, this includes advice as to patent listing, innovative drug listing, life cycle management and regulatory requirements under the Food and Drugs Act and Regulations, and under the PMPRB. A regular writer on IP issues, Jennifer is also executive editor of Gowling WLG's PharmaFlash newsletter.
