A partner at Torkin Manes, Jonathan practises exclusively in the area of construction law, on behalf of general contractors, public and private owners, sureties, subcontractors, suppliers, financial institutions, and design professionals. His work focuses on construction claims, defences and surety bond work, drafting construction contracts and other documents, employing alternative dispute resolution and advocacy at trial and appellate levels. Jonathan has extensive experience in construction lien actions and regularly represents lien claimants and defendants in lien proceedings. To complement his practice, Jonathan shares his knowledge as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Queen’s University and teaches a sessional course on Canadian Construction Law.
