Partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Class Actions and Competition and Foreign Investment Law Groups at Goodmans. Extensive experience in complex commercial disputes, competition law, regulatory/administrative law proceedings, procurement law, white collar crime, internal investigations, as well as domestic and international arbitrations. Commercial litigation work includes acting for Cineplex Inc. in its claim against Cineworld for breach of an arrangement agreement, which resulted in a $1.2 billion judgment in Cineplex’s favour. Competition law work includes the successful defence of a leading abuse of dominance case brought before the Competition Tribunal, as well as responding to Bureau information requests and providing competition law guidance to clients across a number of different industries. Has appeared on multiple occasions before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Federal Court and all levels of court in Ontario.
