Karen Carteri is among the leading commercial litigators in British Columbia and has been a partner at Nathanson, Schachter & Thompson LLP since 2016. She often appears before the British Columbia Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, and in private arbitrations and administrative matters. Carteri recently became a fellow at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London, England. Carteri acts in a wide variety of complex corporate and commercial matters, including relating to major property development projects, mining issues, and partnership and shareholder disputes. She is ranked by Chambers Canada, Lexpert, Benchmark and Best Lawyers Canada. In 2022, she received the Peter S. Hyndman Mentorship Award from the Vancouver Bar Association. Carteri is and has been a member of various non-profit boards, including PALS Autism School, Vancouver College, Little Flower Academy and the Association of Women in Finance. Over her career, Carteri has contributed extensively to CLE as a presenter.
