Kayla Theeuwen

Kayla Theeuwen is a partner in the commercial litigation practice group and chairwoman of the Caribbean & offshore practice group at WeirFoulds LLP. A multi-jurisdictional litigator, Kayla is called to the bars of Ontario, the British Virgin Islands, St. Kitts & Nevis, Grenada, Jamaica, and Saint Lucia. She has appeared as lead counsel before all levels of court in Ontario, the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, and the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal. Kayla is an experienced litigator trusted by clients around the world, ranging from non-profit organizations in Ontario, to trust companies in International Financial Centres, to some of the Caribbean's largest property developers. She has litigated and arbitrated high stakes domestic and offshore corporate disputes, bet-the-company cases, constitutional claims, and matters involving allegations of bribery, corruption, and money-laundering, some of which have been precedent-setting.
