Kaylea is a litigation partner in the McKercher LLP Saskatoon office. Her practice focuses on defending actions involving personal injury, property damage and professional liability, providing policy coverage opinions and advancing subrogated claims for insurers. These actions often involve interpretation of complex commercial agreements. Kaylea has also developed considerable expertise in privacy and access to information law. She has worked with local authorities, government institutions, health service providers, non-profit entities, financial institutions, and private sector businesses. For years Kaylea maintained a general insurance broker’s license and membership in the Insurance Brokers’ Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS). She has prepared various papers and presentations for the CBA, Risk Management Counsel of Canada, Saskatchewan Association of Insurance Adjusters, IBAS and the Canadian Insurance Claims Managers’ Association. Kaylea presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Bar Insurance Association / Lawyers Financial. Kaylea was called to the Bar in 2002 and received her King’s Counsel appointment in 2021.
