Keegan Boyd is a partner in BLG’s Toronto office. Keegan defends hospitals, healthcare organizations and professionals against allegations of professional misconduct and negligence in both civil and regulatory contexts. He also represents corporate and individual clients in a broad range of commercial disputes, including contract disputes, product liability claims, mass torts and class actions. Keegan regularly advises clients on matters related to medical devices and technology, regulatory compliance, incident reporting, adverse events, physician credentialing, privacy, disclosure, and risk management. Keegan has acted as lead counsel at all levels of court in Ontario, and has represented clients before other courts, administrative bodies and tribunals, including the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Licence Appeal Tribunal and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. Keegan was formerly an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University, teaching the Trial Advocacy course.
