Kris Borg-Olivier has a broad litigation practice with a particular focus on complex commercial and civil litigation. He has served as lead counsel in numerous trials as well as domestic and international arbitrations. He enjoys acting for lawyers, frequently serving as counsel and advisor to lawyers and law firms in connection with civil actions, Law Society investigations, and intra-firm disputes. He has a keen analytical mind allowing him to tackle the most complex legal problems with clarity and creativity. Kris approaches all his cases with a practical mindset and a view to achieving the best outcome for his clients as efficiently as possible. His clients appreciate his empathy and his sense of humour, and his ability to help them through difficult times with a calm and direct manner. Kris practised in New York for several years prior to returning home to Toronto. His American legal experience is often called upon in cross-border matters. He has spoken and lectured on a wide range of topics, including civil procedure, trial advocacy, and injunctions. Kris is also a dedicated mentor for younger lawyers and serves as the Chair of Paliare Roland's Associates Committee.
