Lara Zee is a partner at Harper Grey LLP where she is assistant chair of the Professional Regulation Group. After her call to the BC Bar in 1996, Lara started practice at the firm with a focus on administrative law, health law, and professional regulation. She primarily represents regulated health professionals including physicians, dentists, and psychologists. Lara was in-house counsel with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia from 2009 to 2011, before rejoining Harper Grey LLP in 2011. A mentor who is committed to equality and diversity, Lara chairs the Student Recruitment and Respectful Workplace Committees. She is a published author in the area of administrative law and a frequent speaker on topics of professional regulation and regulatory compliance. She has been a guest instructor in health law at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law. Lara’s practice includes acting for physicians before the College of Physicians and Surgeons, representing health care professionals before the Health Professions Review Board and other administrative tribunals, and advising clients on issues of admission into professions, licensing, transfer of practice, and fitness to practice.
