Leanne is an insurance and disability lawyer. Her practice is focused on long term disability benefits, critical illness, and life insurance claims. Leanne also deals with workplace related disability. For over two decades, Leanne has tirelessly advocated for individuals whose benefits have been wrongfully denied by insurance companies. Leanne has an extensive range of litigation experience before various courts and tribunals. Prior to 2002, Leanne practised at a large international law firm. After 2002, she practised at one of the top ten personal injury law firms in Ontario before devoting the next 16 years to representing individuals denied long term disability benefits at two leading disability law firms. Since 2019, Leanne has owned and operated a law firm dedicated to serving the needs of insurance claimants. Leanne regularly speaks at professional organizations including the Long-Term Disability Section of the Ontario Trial Lawyers’ Association. Leanne has authored multiple published articles and a book chapter on Critical Illness. Leanne serves as a mentor for the Law Practice Program through TMU, is a Board Member of Family Services of Peel, volunteers for disability-related charitable causes and provides legal education and services pro bono to community legal clinics.
