Linda is a managing partner at Matthews Abogado LLP. She represents several of the largest insurers in complex personal injury claims including spinal cord injuries, brain injuries and fatalities, motor vehicle liability, social host liability, liquor/tavern liability, municipal liability, property, product liability, occupiers' liability, CGL, homeowner, subrogation, fire, medical malpractice, errors and omissions and insurance coverage claims. She has extensive trial experience, both jury and non-jury, and has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario. She regularly appears before various administrative Tribunals and private arbitrations. She has been counsel on many precedent setting decisions involving insurance covenants, Mary Carter Agreements, expert evidence, social host liability, catastrophic impairment, loss transfer claims and accident benefits. Her expertise is illustrated by the numerous invitations she receives from The Advocates' Society, the OBA, Osgoode, Canadian Defence Lawyers and other organizations to present on insurance issues or to demonstrate the skills of effective cross-examinations and other trial techniques. She also represents injured parties in personal injury disputes and long-term disability claims.
