Line Abecassis is a partner in the Commercial Real Estate Group of BLG’s Montreal office and the trusted adviser to a broad array of real estate companies. She practises in most areas of real property law, including leasing, acquisition, divestiture, and financing of real estate and development. She participated in the development of various real estate projects, such as hotels, senior housing residences, shopping centres and office buildings. Line represented a large Canadian bank in the acquisition and financing of undivided co-ownership interest in numerous shopping centres in Quebec and Ontario. She acted in the purchase of several large portfolios including in the purchase of 75 properties in Canada and the US with a value of over $1.5 billion. Recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada (Commercial Leasing Law). Education: LLB (Université de Montréal/Gold Medalist and recipient of several awards of excellence).
