Lorraine Land practises Aboriginal and environmental law as a partner at OKT. She advises Aboriginal clients across Canada and particularly in the North. Land provides negotiation advice and appears before Courts and tribunals on Aboriginal rights, land claims implementation, self government negotiation and implementation, consultation, impacts and benefits agreements, energy, and environmental matters. Land has a masters in Environmental Studies (with a concentration on northern Aboriginal co-management regimes) and a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution. Land is a recipient of the Gold Key Alumni Award from Osgoode Law School for exceptional contributions to the legal profession and society and accomplishments in the field of law. She is adjunct faculty at Osgoode Law School where she teaches courses related to Indigenous rights, and serves on the Osgoode Law School Alumni Board. She is a member of the Ontario, Northwest Territories and Nunavut Bars, and has been recognized as a leading expert in Aboriginal Law by Lexpert, and in Aboriginal Law and Environmental Law by Best Lawyers in Canada.
