He serves as lead counsel in mid-market M&A and financing transactions, and assists US companies seeking to expand their operations into Canada. He is frequently consulted in connection with the international sale of goods, trade compliance verifications, and preferential tariff treatment under free trade agreements, serving domestic, non-resident, and global businesses in a variety of industry sectors including automotive, agriculture, direct sales, eCommerce, traditional retail, manufacturing, and equipment leasing. He is a past president of the Canadian Transport Lawyers Association (1998–99) and the Association of Transportation Law Professionals (2022–23).
