Lucia Stuhldreier advises shippers on all aspects of rail transportation, including negotiations of rail transportation agreements, rate and service matters, as well as agreements for the construction, acquisition, and use of rail trackage. She has extensive experience in using regulatory remedies to resolve disputes over freight rates and service, securing access to competing rail carriers, and rail line abandonment. She regularly represents clients in contested proceedings involving rail matters before arbitrators, the Canadian Transportation Agency, the Federal Court, and the Federal Court of Appeal. She also assists shipper associations in matters involving rail transportation policy and legislative initiatives. Her road transportation practice includes advising shippers and motor carriers on trucking contracts and regulatory matters. In the field of aviation, she has represented airlines and airports in enforcement proceedings and appeals under the Aeronautics Act, as well as regulatory matters and litigation relating to mergers and acquisitions, licensing, and consumer complaints.
