Lucy E. Main is a partner at WeirFoulds and co-chairwoman of the firm’s wills, trusts, and estates practice group. She advises Canadian and international clients on a wide range of estate and trust matters, including drafting estate planning documents, establishing private charitable foundations for individuals and families, helping with the administration of estates, assisting in the setting up and maintenance of trusts, and providing support to litigators in contentious estate and trust law matters. She earned her trust and estate practitioner designation from the international Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in 2013. In 2016, she was awarded the Hoffstein Book Prize by the Ontario Bar Association for her contributions to the areas of trusts and estates law. She is currently a governor of the Canadian Tax Foundation. She frequently writes and co-authors articles for domestic and international publications, and currently sits on the editorial board of Thomson Reuters’ Taxes & Wealth Management publication.
