Marie-Soleil Landry is a partner in McCarthy Tétrault LLP’s Tax Group in Montreal. She is well-versed in all aspects of tax law and focuses on both corporate tax and tax planning. She is involved in analyzing and developing complex strategies in connection with a variety of commercial transactions for clients of the firm, including public and private mergers and acquisitions and cross-border reorganizations. Her experience includes acting as tax counsel for Rio Tinto in its Matalco aluminium recycling joint venture with Giampaolo Group for US$700M. She was also involved in Gold Fields Limited 50/50 partnership with Osisko Mining Inc. In parallel to her practice, Marie-Soleil is a frequent speaker in the tax community and has published a variety of tax articles, including with Thompson Reuters. She was called to the Quebec Bar in 2012.
