Mark is a partner and a core member of the firm’s Land Development and Municipal Law Group. As partner and driving force within the land development practice, Mark’s extensive experience allows him to assist clients with complex planning and development law issues. He has acted as lead counsel at numerous Ontario Land Tribunal hearings for a wide range of development projects including major mixed-use developments, employment land conversions, urban boundary expansions and golf course redevelopments. Mark regularly appears before the Ontario Land Tribunal, municipal councils and committees, and all levels of courts in Ontario to advocate on behalf of the firm’s clients, including the Ontario Superior Court, Divisional Court, and Court of Appeal. Mark has repeatedly been recognized as a Leading Practitioner in Property Development Law in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. He has also been awarded Lawyer of the Year in Municipal Law – Toronto by Best Lawyers in Canada. Mark is a member of several industry associations, is a frequent speaker at professional development programs and is a former Chair of the Ontario Bar Association, Municipal Law Section. Mark studied at Osgoode Hall Law School where he was awarded the Robert W. Macaulay Scholarship in Land Use Planning Law.
