Mark Josselyn is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office and the Ottawa group leader of the firm's Employment, Labour and Equalities National Practice Group. His practice focuses on the areas of employment law and insurance defence litigation. Mark is an advocate before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal and before various tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal. He has significant training and experience in mediation and other conflict resolution procedures. Mark has presented papers for the Law Society's Continuing Legal Education Program, Insight, Lorman and the annual Ottawa Civil Litigation Conference. He has lectured at the University of Ottawa and has been a seminar leader at the Bar Admission Course in trial advocacy. He also gives client and in-house seminars on a variety of topics. He has been recognized in Chambers Canada, The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, the Legal 500 Canada and The Best Lawyers in Canada. Mark received the Best Lawyers 2023 Labour & Employment “Lawyer of the Year” award in Ottawa and is named in the Thomson Reuters Stand-out Lawyers 2023 list.
