Mark R. Frederick

Mark Frederick is chairman of Lloyd’s and international insurance practice. He focuses on insurance defence, policy interpretation, and construction and establishment of plans and captive insurance arrangements. He specializes in professional indemnity defence and coverage work representing a wide range of professionals, including engineers, architects, lawyers, and insurance brokers, as well as directors' and officers' liability. He defends manufacturers of chemicals and other goods in claims of product liability, and practises in the area commercial host liability. His clientele is predominantly in Canada, the US, England, and Bermuda. He is a frequent lecturer to prominent trade associations and syndicates at Lloyd’s. He also acts for clients in all general litigation matters including construction contract disputes. He is a qualified arbitrator with the UK-based Chartered Institute of Arbitrators representing clients in both arbitrations and mediations. He acts for both Roman Catholic and Protestant churches acting on matters of denominational concerns and other charitable issues.
