Mark Giavedoni is a partner in Gowling WLG's Hamilton office, leader of the firm’s national Real Estate Industry Sector Group and a member of several other national practice groups including the Expropriation Law Group, the Administrative and Public Law Group, the Construction & Infrastructure Group, and the Municipal Law Group. A Certified Specialist in Real Estate Law by the LSO, Mark provides clients with advice on all aspects of real property transactions, including title repairs; project structure, financing and development; dispute prevention and resolution. He often advises municipalities, universities, school boards, utilities, and other lawyers on complex matters. He guides and represents clients on condominium structures and developments; commercial leases; financings and secured lending; purchase and sale transactions; land use planning and assembly; expropriations; construction contracts and facilities/project management. Mark is a past president of the Hamilton Law Association. He has been recognized in both The Best Lawyers™ in Canada and the Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory. Mark received the 2021 Federation of Ontario Law Associations President’s Award and is currently Chair of the Real Estate Committee of the Federation of Ontario Law Associations.
