Marshall practises tax law with a focus on corporate tax and transaction structuring, including corporate reorganizations and mergers and acquisitions. He also has a keen interest in estate planning transactions involving tax-effective restructuring of businesses and inter-generational transfers of wealth. Marshall frequently presents on and authors tax articles and serves as a special advisor to the Canadian Tax Foundation Board of Governors and as an editor of the Federated Press International Tax Planning Journal. He is Consistently Recommended for Corporate Tax in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. In addition, Marshall advises charities and not-for-profit organizations on setting up and structuring their affairs. In law school, Marshall served as an editor of the Saskatchewan Law Review and received a number of academic scholarships.
